We have been here many times with our daughters, who consider this their local. You can guarantee two things - a warm welcome and good wholesome food. As I have mentioned many times one of my daughters is totally fat intolerant which can prove a problem for some eateries. My other daughter has been attending Slimming World and lost 5 & 1/2 stone. The Blue Boar has never failed to meet their needs and they know they can always eat here with confidence. On this occasions we went for a light lunch - they do a special version of chicken wings for the daughter with a fat intolerance, which having sneaked one from her plate I must admit is gorgeous although rather messy to eat. My wife and I shared a baguette with chicken and bacon which was mouth wateringly good. Daughter number 2 choosing to have sins opted for Moo Pie and sweet potato fries- the pie was packed with flavour and the sweet potato fries lovely and crispy.
